For more effective formaldehyde and odor elimination, or when you want to sanitize an entire room at once, the ozone-containing lamps may be the better option. These lamps emit 185nm UVC light, which generates ozone (O3) that can reach areas where the UV light cannot penetrate. This ensures complete coverage, but requires a waiting period after use to allow the ozone to decompose, which can be shortened by opening windows and doors for ventilation.
