Replacing the UV lamp is a quick and easy process that does not require any special skills or tools. Follow these simple steps: 1. Disconnect the UV system from power and let it cool down for a few minutes. 2. Turn off the water supply and drain all the water from the system before removing the lamp. 3. Wear gloves to prevent contamination of the lamp surface. 4. Slowly pull the lamp cord away from the chamber and carefully disconnect the lamp from the cord. Do not try to untwist the cord. 5. Carefully remove the lamp from the chamber, taking care not to angle it and touch the quartz sleeve. 6. Slide the new UV lamp inside the quartz sleeve and attach the ballast. 7. Slide the assembly into the stainless steel reactor chamber and secure the end cover.

The lamp can be mounted vertically or horizontally, with the incoming water flow from the bottom of the housing moving up for vertical installation. For the initial installation, it is recommended to position the quartz sleeve horizontally for better sealing.
