The UV treatment process works by mutating or degrading the DNA of microorganisms, rendering them unable to function or reproduce, and ultimately eliminating the risk of infection. In our HQUA UV Water Purifier, water flows through a stainless steel chamber that contains a UV-producing lamp, exposing the microbes to a lethal dose of UV light.

The main components of the HQUA UV Water Sterilizer include the UV reactor chamber, UV lamp and quartz sleeve, and the electronic ballast. The UV chamber is made of durable 304 stainless steel, while the quartz sleeve provides high UV light transmittance. The electronic ballast connects the UV lamp to the power source and acts as a controller, with indicators to monitor the system's status.

One of the key benefits of our UV water purification system is its eco-friendly nature. It does not require the use of chemicals, eliminating the risk of harmful byproducts being released into the environment. Additionally, the process does not affect the taste, odor, pH, or general chemistry of the water.

Our HQUA UV water sterilizers are designed for easy installation and maintenance. While the system is intended to be permanently installed in the pipe system, the UV lamp needs to be replaced annually, and the quartz sleeve should be cleaned every 6-12 months and replaced every 2 years.

It is important to note that water quality is crucial for the optimal performance of our UV systems. Specific water quality parameters, such as iron, hardness, turbidity, manganese, and tannins, are recommended to be within certain limits. Additionally, the water temperature in the chamber can become very hot during extended periods of no water flow, which may require the use of a temperature control valve.
