Melt-blown Four Layers Filtration Polypropylene Sediment Filter (25 pack)

A Sediment Water Filter removes the physical debris and impurities from your water. The sediment filter has tiny holes through which water can pass, but the unwanted particles are trapped. As these particles come in different sizes, the filters come in different micron ratings. Generally, for visibly polluted water with larger particles, a sediment filter with a larger size (such as 20 or 50 microns) is recommended in the first stage to prevent clogging of subsequent filters.

This sediment filter is often the first filter installed in a Reverse Osmosis system, acting as a net to catch unwanted particles like sand, dirt, silt, rust, and other fine particles. The filter is made of fine melted polypropylene, which is resistant to chemical solvents, bases, and acids. Removing these particles allows downstream filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filters, to perform better and last longer.
