The SimPure 10" x 4.5" water filter housing is constructed from reinforced polypropylene, ensuring strength and resistance to chemicals, while the food-grade material guarantees the safety and healthiness of all filtered water. This premium quality filter has been tested to meet NSF standards.

In comparison to other inline water filter housings that have reported leakage issues, the SimPure filter housing has been upgraded. The ports have been changed to brass, and a double O-ring design has been adopted, ensuring no water leaks even after extended use.

The filter is suitable for both city water and well water, and comes with an additional 200μm filter element. The 40μm filter is best suited for municipal (tap) or city water, capturing most particulates. However, if used with well, lake, or other feedwater, the 200μm filter element can be substituted to prevent the need for more frequent flushing due to the build-up of particulates from the finer filter mesh.

The installation process is straightforward, as the filter housing comes with all the necessary tools, including a wrench, a heavy-duty steel mounting bracket, and four screws. The 1" NPT inlet and outlet fit most standard ports, and the built-in red pressure-relief button simplifies the filter replacement process by allowing for water pressure release.

The SimPure 5-micron activated carbon block filter is made from 100% pure coconut shell carbon, wrapped in food-grade polypropylene. This filter effectively removes chlorine, organics, undesirable colors, and bad tastes and odors from the water, significantly improving the drinking water's taste.
