Wound String Sediment filters are made of fine melted 100% polypropylene rope, twisted around a plastic core in a cylinder. This design allows for better dirt holding capacity, higher filtration accuracy, and 30% longer service life than common sediment filters.

The main function of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust. Removing these particles enables better performance of all the following filters, like Carbon Block or GAC filters. String-wound filter cartridges provide an efficient and cost-effective solution, with benefits like a new melt-spinning and yarn forming process, continuous filaments, high structural stability, random yarn structure for improved filtration, higher void-to-solid ratio for increased dirt holding, and lower pressure drop.
